I am trying to get it so i am working on my betting project and shouldpay.co.uk project solely and outsourcing the rest of my sites. I can’t bear to see sites just sitting there, its seems like such a waste. However, getting someone who knows what they are doing to run them in your absense is not easy at all! Delegating takes time in its own right and then knowing that the people involved are not going to harm your sites in any way also is a worry. I came home the other day to receive an email from a webmaster saying he had got me 10 good lnks, i looked on the homepage of my site and low and behold i was linking out to 10 of the crapest sites on the net. worse still, i wasnt even getting a homepage link back!

The experiment i am working on is to see how fast i can get a site indexed and ranked for an uncompetitive term. the term in question is free mobile phone unblocking and it is my view that with minimal work i can rank this term well within 10 days. I’ll let you know how it goes. At the point of writing it s not even indexed.

In summary, dont bite off more than you can chew and carefully plan your empire before you start, not just individual projects or you might be left with too many domains to manage!

I plan to update it daily with information on how my projects are going from domain acquisition to development to monetisation.

OK. number one project is www.shouldpay.co.uk it is a site that i am very excited about that delves into the world of offline marketing as well which i look forward to.  It is a site that allows people to find out what they should pay for car repairs in the  UK and will exapnd to much bigger things. I am outsourcing the backend development with an Indian company i use. They are superb and allow me to keep costs down. To start with the link building i am going to put a few subtle links on certain car blogs and car forums to market the car prices database which i think will be very useful to people. I am hoping this site will be linked to naturally due to good content in the future but we are a way from that still.

I am also thinking of buying some link packages from protected sources to get it going with an emphasis on deep linking to the site. As it stands there is nominal traffic, ill update this post with how it goes.

The other site i am working on is www.thebettingline.co.uk which is a sports betting tips site. OK, dont prejudge too quickly regarding gambling. I am doing this site with a friend of mine who has been banned from all major bookmakers and who made in excess of £150,000 sports betting last year. He has had a winning record every year for 15 years also so i dont call that gambling. In fact i got my mum to sign up for it to make some pocket money :)

Marketing gambling sites is alot harder than most industries. PPC n google etc is not so much of an option and many directories and other webmasters will not list gambling sites. Even my  programmer, who works in a muslim country will not work on the site! That said, ive had some success from signing up to certain high profile forums and submitting/spamming them with the sites address. Ethical, well no, but it has done the job so far and we are getting members all the time. I also have another main gambling site which i am about to link to it so im hoping that will give it a push also.

Thats all i have time for now, i hope to be able to publish decent content on this blog soon when i have some stuff to write about.
